The Magician
The magician he now appears to me
as your eyes glisten and shine to see
a deck of cards that slide so easily
and as fabled tales fill my heart
the man in my head tosses out the locks
rising from your chair you do start
to show you my card, the Ace of Spades
Turning round the crowd applauds,
for them, the Magician's being enticing to see
Not a trick he claims for us to be
Live the truth that we can see anew
As he shuffles the deck of dreams unfolding
I pick a card he offers me
Of you, can it be?
thus the beginning of reality.
